Breaking news A review article in Nature Materials

In Review article entitled Emergent phenomena at oxide interfaces published in Nature Materials, vol. 11. 103 (2012) authors describe recent advances in the atomic-scale synthesis of oxide heterostructures that provided a fertile new ground for creating novel states at their interfaces. They discus characteristic features, such as the reconstruction of charge, spin and orbital states at interfaces on the nanometric scale. A special emphasis is given to the appearance of superconductivity, magnetoelectric coupling, and the quantum Hall effect. EDLT configuration, which is one of the major research directions in the LEMSUPER project, is also described in detail.EDLT technique
